Custom Printing for Sports Teams & Leagues

Custom jerseys, warm-ups, fan gear, and championship apparel for teams, leagues, and clubs.

From youth recreational leagues to college club teams to adult rec leagues, sports teams need custom apparel that performs on the field and looks sharp off it. The market is massive: nearly every basketball, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and softball league in the US orders custom jerseys, warm-ups, and fan apparel every season.

The two dominant methods are sublimation (for full-color, no-feel jerseys printed on polyester athletic mesh) and screen printing (for cotton fan tees, hoodies, and warm-ups). Many teams also order embroidered hats and jackets for coaches and staff.

Tight deadlines are the rule — most teams want gear in hand before opening day or playoffs. Look for printers that specialize in athletic apparel, can handle name-and-number personalization, and offer reorders for mid-season replacements.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we order team jerseys?
For full-team sublimated jerseys, order 6–8 weeks before your first game. Sublimation production is slower than screen printing, and overseas-manufactured jerseys can take 4+ weeks just for production before shipping. For domestic-made jerseys with names and numbers, 4 weeks is usually safe. For simple cotton fan tees, 2–3 weeks is plenty.
How much do custom team jerseys cost?
Sublimated jerseys range from about $25 (basic mesh, simple design, 50+ quantity) to $60+ (premium fabric, complex multi-color sublimation, names and numbers, smaller quantity). Reversibles cost roughly 1.5–2x a single-side jersey. Most youth leagues budget $30–$45 per jersey including names.
Can we add a sponsor logo to our jerseys?
Yes — sponsor logos on sublimated jerseys are essentially free (it's just another graphic element in the print). For screen-printed fan tees, each additional logo location adds a print charge. Make sure you have rights to use the sponsor's logo and that they've approved its appearance and placement.
What's the difference between sublimation and "tackle twill"?
Sublimation prints the design into the fabric using heat and dye, leaving zero hand-feel — it's most common for modern athletic jerseys. Tackle twill is fabric letters and numbers sewn onto the jersey — the classic look on high-school football, baseball, and varsity letterman jackets. Tackle twill costs more but has a heritage feel and is extremely durable.
